Human Foundation Provides Free Meals Year-Round to Eligible Children and Families

The Human Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that children and families in need have access to nutritious, free meals through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

These federally funded initiatives, overseen by Ohio’s Department of Education and Workforce’s Office of Nutrition, help combat food insecurity by providing healthy meals and snacks throughout the year.

Through CACFP, the Human Foundation partners with child care centers, afterschool programs, family day care homes, adult care centers, and emergency shelters to distribute meals that meet federal nutrition standards.

Additionally, through the Summer Food Service Program, we ensure that children and families continue to receive nutritious meals when school is out, preventing gaps in access to healthy food. Our mission is to support the health and well-being of our communities by providing reliable food assistance to those who need it most.
