The Human Foundation is dedicated to supporting children and teens in need through its focus on the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and CAFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program), a vital initiative administered by the state and funded by the federal government. Our organization recognizes the importance of providing nutritious meals to those who may otherwise go without during the summer months. By partnering with SFSP, we ensure that program operators receive reimbursement to offer no-cost, healthy meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income communities. In addition to addressing food insecurity, our efforts extend to providing enrichment activities at summer sites, fostering holistic development in these communities. In areas where access is challenging, particularly in approved rural communities, we facilitate grab-and-go or delivery services, ensuring that no child or teen is left hungry or without essential nourishment during the summer break. Through our commitment to SFSP, the Human Foundation strives to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
